Microchip under my skin: the future really is here?

Imagine that you pay for the coffee and not pull out or wallet or cell phone, but simply bringing the hand to the POS. It is not science fiction: in different Countries, the microchip under my skin is already
a reality. These small devices, which are inserted under the skin between the thumb and the index, function as a payment card in addition to the ability to store personal data and even to replace keys or badge of the company.


But how does it work?
The chip beneath the skin using the NFC technology (Near Field Communication), the same as that of contactless payments, which we do with the credit cards. Once implanted, allows you to
transactions approaching the hand to the readers, just as we would with a paper.

And the future?
We are still far from seeing the microchip as a common practice. However, the idea of a world without bulky items such as wallets and keys will always attract more people. Who knows, maybe in a few years, these microchips will be disseminated as a smartphone!
